A game can offer offline levels while still needing a connection for advertising, purchases or events. Before you travel, decide what matters: simply continuing your puzzle, using a particular hint, or collecting a daily reward. Those are different tests.
A five-minute check before you leave.
- Install and open the game while connected. Finish any introductory steps and choose your puzzle language.
- Turn on airplane mode. Make sure Wi-Fi is also switched off.
- Complete a level. Check that the next one starts without asking for a connection.
- Try a hint. A coin-based hint and a video-reward hint may behave differently.
- Close and reopen the app. Check that your progress is still there and you can continue playing.
A successful test on your device is more useful than assuming every mode behaves the same way. Repeat it after a major app update if you depend on the game during long trips.

For interrupted journeys, look for a readable board and a clear next move. Think about whether you prefer forming words from letters, scanning a word-search grid, or solving written clues. Connectivity is only one part of a good travel game.
Offline, free and ad-free are different promises.
Offline describes connectivity. Free describes the initial download price. Ad-free describes advertising. A game can support offline puzzles and still include advertising or optional purchases when it is online. Do not assume one label guarantees the other two.
Likewise, being able to start a level is not the same as having every reward available. Before a long journey, check the particular hint or reward you expect to use. A feature that relies on a video cannot provide that video without an internet connection.
